No tracking cookies

hibretone.org does not use cookies to track you, to build an advertising profile of you, or to share your activity with advertising networks.

What this site stores in your browser

We use two small pieces of client-side storage, and one third-party service that may set its own cookies once you interact with it:

• Accessibility toolbar preferences (localStorage). When you adjust text size, contrast or spacing in the accessibility toolbar, that choice is saved in your browser so it applies next time you visit. This is a preference you set yourself, not tracking.
• Launch banner dismissal (sessionStorage). If you dismiss the launch banner at the top of the page, we remember that for the rest of your visit. It is cleared automatically when you close the browser tab.
• YouTube. Our film only loads a video player when you press play, and it uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com domain. Once you press play, YouTube may set its own cookies under Google's policies, outside our control.

Analytics

We use privacy-first, cookieless analytics to understand how the site is used. It does not set cookies and does not identify you.

If this ever changes

If we introduce a cookie-setting tool in future, we will add a consent mechanism where rejecting cookies is exactly as easy as accepting them, and we will update this notice first.

Clearing your browser storage

You can clear the storage described above at any time through your browser's settings (usually under privacy or site data, then "clear site data" for hibretone.org), or by resetting your preferences directly in the accessibility toolbar.
